About Kujenga

Greetings! My name is Maggie Lusweti, Founder of Kujenga Inclusive Game Changer School (KIGCS) in Sirisia Subcounty, Bungoma, Kenya. Although I am based in the United States, my dedication to Kenyan youth remains strong. At Kujenga, we aim to provide young people with an inclusive education, giving them the tools to become the best version of themselves. We train our students to make a positive impact in their community. We foster an environment where every student has the opportunity to excel, learn, and contribute to a brighter future.

Who we are

Who we are

We are the Kenya Project arm of the Able and Willing organization based in Frederick, Maryland. Able & Willing International Educational Foundation (AWIEF) is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing schools and improving health and nutrition in areas of extreme poverty and need.

Water is Life

Every day in rural communities throughout Kenya millions of people suffer from a lack of access to clean and safe water. For school-aged children especially girls, it’s a burden that traps them in poverty. Girls under the age of 18 are responsible for fetching water for the entire family. When students are freed from gathering water, they focus on their education and health.
